Metal protective braids are used as a protection of transmission conductors, for example electrical, telecommunication and light cables, against:

mechanical damages,
chemical damages,
welding spalls,
variable whether conditions.

Furthermore, in a version sealed with rubber or a mineral fibre cord, they can be used for transferring loose materials and as ventilation ducts.

They can be made of acid resistant, stainless or galvanized (zinc plated) steel as well as brass. There is a possibility to cover the protective braids with plastics, for example PVC. We offer variable types of splicing, which have an influence on flexibility and durability of the braid and give an opportunity for complete adjusting the product to individual needs of the customer.

In its basic offer "FAMAS S.A." has metal protective braids with diameters from DN 3 to DN 260.

We offer following types of braids:

overlapped: DE, VS, VX;
overlapped with higher strength: C100 and C150;
safety-pin like: AG, PROTEX, HU;
overlapped polygonal: VS-kt and VX-kt.
